Recently we were asked many times about biodegradable packaging, since now much plastic tube packaging suppliers claim that they were using the sugar cane or straw as raw material to produce a green plastic which were biodegradable. But is it true? As we check from Wikipedia, this kind of green plastic isn’t totally biodegradable, because its nature is still plastic.

We know plastic had brought many conveniences to us when it was created, and year passed, it also bring us troubles. When I was a child, I thought that the plastic bags disappear forever when I dropped it into the trash tan or the ocean. But now I know, they are still in the earth, some would be eaten by the fishes in the sea and murder them gradually, and some will be burned and bring the harmful air into the atmosphere. When I know the truth, I keep thinking what we can to reduce the waste of plastic packaging.

As a normal person, I would try to use reusable packaging, for example, use cloth bag than plastic bag; and if I had to use plastic bag, I would try to reuse it again and again. Bring a private bottle when going out rather than drinking bottle water and I will reuse the plastic bowl as the flowerpot to grow the little plant.

As a plastic tube packaging supplier, the material we use for production can be reused for plastic stool production and the production waste will be collected and sent to the specific company for recycle. And moreover, we are looking for the material which are totally green and can be used for cosmetic tubes production. We heard that there was one type of ‘plastic’ was made by algae, but it was a pity that it couldn’t be used for cosmetic tubes production.

Moreover, there are few companies will collect the used facial wash foam or BB cream tube packaging, therefore, the reuse rate of plastic tube packaging is still low. One idea appeared when I saw one express company reuse a light safety box for packing, if people can refill the cream/ lotion/ shampoo in an experience shop for beauty than they are reusing the packaging and help reduce the waste. Maybe one day it will come true and hope more better ideas will come from the youth.
