Dragon Boat Festival originated in China, initially from the ancient Baiyue area (the northern, the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River). Then in the state of Chu during the Warring States, the great poet– Qu Yuan jumped Miluo River himself in this day, so rulers order this day as the Dragon Boat Festival to commemorate Qu Yuan.
