Something about tamper evidence on cosmetic tube
Have you found some trial products on shelves when get to shops for skin care/cosmetics? Obviously, this is thoughtful and welcome to consumer! But, not all products get free trial. Then for the brands company, how to prevent products be opened before buying it on shops? Well, based on 16 years experiences in cosmetic tube, we’d like to talk some ways to figure it out.
Way A: Add foil seal on tube orifice, see right side pic.
Sometimes, due to limitation of tube tooling /cap structure, way A is not available. Especially for some oval tubes matched oval flip top cap. As the seal ring on inside cap is a little longer, which will break up foil seal after assembling cap, see the black pic. In this case, we have below way B,C,D to solve it.
Way B: cover clear shrink film all over around the tube and cap (similar like below pic). This step is done by contract filler after filling and tail sealed.
Way C: Choose snap on/push on flip top cap and cover shrink film on cap part. This step is completed by tube manufacturer.
Way D: stick a strips label between tube and cap by cosmetic tube manufacturer. The label can printed in words or colored. For flip top cap, the strips has to extend to cap top to get it can’t be opened. Hope pics on right would explain it well.
As far as we learned, way A is the most easy and cheapest way to get. Way D is the second most cost-efficient way, but labor cost is not cheap. Hope above options work for you. Of course, for any other idea on cosmetic tube, we’ll be much appreciated and happy to discuss further.
