As we know, a good outer packaging is conducive to sell products quickly.

Nowadays, many cosmetic company trend to make the packaging design looks quite special and attractive, then ask cosmetic packaging supplier to print them on physical packaging containers and get real effect same/similar with the design.

Today I’d like to talk about one of special designs/printings –spot UV – on cosmetic tube packaging.
Perhaps someone already know this kind of technique.
But in my opinion, it’s a good idea and helpful by giving below summary on what we have experienced in this respect.

1. SPOT UV a band to cover/highlight the product’s main function.

2. SPOT UV the slogan, logo or texture etc as transparent ink/color on dark cosmetic tube to highlight them.

3. As the laminated tube (ABL-plastic aluminum tube; PBL tube) is widely used, UV SPOT can be printed and coveredon more colors (even 7C) or complicated CMYK graphics(animal, flowers, figure image), like below pics.
In this way, the offset printing colors or graphics look shiny, highlighted and can get similar printing effect with silk-screen and cost cheaper!

Of course, what need remind is, some customers design SPOT UV size exact same as underground content. But speaking from current printing technique, SPOT UVmight have 1 mm printing position tolerance. If customer do not mind it, totally no problem. If they care this, our suggestion is to enlarge the UV SPOT size to 0.5mm-1mm.
